1. About This Website
This website (johnhodgsoncounselling.co.uk) provides general information about my counselling services. It does not offer crisis support or replace professional medical or mental health care.
If you are in crisis or feel unsafe, please contact your GP, dial 999, or reach out to Samaritans on 116 123 (freephone, 24/7).
2. Counselling Agreement
Before starting counselling, I will provide a written agreement outlining how we’ll work together — including session length, fees, cancellations, and confidentiality.
This agreement forms the basis of our therapeutic contract.
3. Fees and Cancellations
- Standard session fee: £55 for 50 minutes.
- Concessions may be available — please enquire.
- Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
4. Confidentiality
All counselling sessions are confidential, with a few important exceptions required by law or professional ethics (e.g., risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or legal disclosure requirements). These limits will be explained clearly at the start of our work together.
5. Data Protection
Your personal data will be handled in line with the Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
By using the contact form or engaging in counselling, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described there.
6. Website Content
All content on this website is for informational purposes only. While I make every effort to ensure accuracy, it should not be relied upon as professional or medical advice.
